Q: Hi there,
I have a BossTherm that just says that on bottom left and BUP bottom right.
I have some photos I could send to see if this would fit.
Thanks for your help,
This is not suitable to replace the Boss Therm BUP. You need the RWB29Si.
Q: As I want an easy fix solution [plug & play] - Is the RWB27 a direct replacement for the Landis & Gyr RWB30, i.e. utilizing the original back plate / fixings, plug in method connections, and original house wiring.
For additional info - The original boiler is a Myson Economist WM30 / 40 with separate 3 way motorised valve, Immersion Tank c/w stat and a room stat.
A: Yes the RWB27 would do that. It's a very easy 10-minute job.
Q: Can I replace a REV11 with this thermostat
A: No. I would recommend the RDE10.1 (HCO code 25A01).
Q: How exactly do you turn the timeswitch from 2 on/offs to 3 on/offs? I cannot see this explained in the instructions.
A: There is a switch on the back of the unit. You will need to press the reset button on the front after changing it.
Make sure you switch off the electric before removing it from it's backplate.
Q: Hi can I replace rwb9 with the rwb27
A: No, you need the RWB29Si.
Q: Is the RWB27 compatible with the RWB7 backplate?
A: Yes it is.
Q: I have one of these but I need to know if you can use it in conjunction with a room thermostat and if so, what is compatible? Thanks
A: I would recommend the RAA21.
Q: Will the RWB27 fit on the back plate of a RWB100 or will I have to rewire
A: It will fit onto the existing backplate for a simple swap.
Q: I Have a RWB27 but the back light seems to have failed can this be replaced?
A: You will have to replace the whole programmer. There are no spares available for the RWB27.
Q: Can I replace a siemens rwb30e with this, if so is it just a case of taking the old out and rewiring this one with no extra back plate fitting?
A: Yes you can. It will simply plug onto the existing backplate with no need to rewire.
Q: Hi, want to install this but what size wiring do I need to buy? Thanks
A: If you are installing this to a combi boiler, with a short run, then 0.75mm heat resistant cable would be fine.
Q: what is the best way to just turn heating on for say an hour then turn it off without having to programme anything
A: This product has a boost button that you can simply press to do that.
Q: Does this model replace the Microgyr 50 controller?
A: Yes it does. It will fit onto the existing backplate for a simple swap.
Q: Does this replace the RWB9?
A: No, you will need the RWB29:
Q: What period of guarantee do the Siemens programmers have?
A: It is the longer of 1 year from date of purchase or 2 years from date of manufacture.
Q: Does it replace RWB 152cw
A: Yes it does.
Q: It states there are 2/3 on off times - what does this mean - is it 2 or 3? I am looking for one to replace a RWB100 but with at least 3 on/ off times for each day
A: There is a switch on the back to choose between 2 or 3 on/offs per day.
Q: i have no instrution for this model, as it is allready in my flat, & i dont know what to press etc, can you le t me have a download please, as a senior citizen am not familler with it, thanks.
A: There is a downloadable manual on our page please see downloads section.
Q: Hi - is this compatible as a replacement for a faulty RWB7 central heating time switch? If so, how easy is it for a DIY novice to replace? Many thanks
A: It simply plugs onto the existing backplate with no wiring changes. So its a simple 5-minute job.
Q: As you look at the front of the timeswitch, (as in your online pic), are the backplate terminals on the left-hand or right-hand side?
Can you also confirm that it is a direct replacement for the Siemens RWB30 timeswitch?
A: They are on the left, this is the same across the RWB range. Yes, it will clip onto the existing backplate for an easy swap.
