Where can I find the user manual for my product?

User manuals can typically be found on the product page (under the downloads tab) or the manufacturer's website. If you are having trouble locating a specific manual, please email us at sales@heatingcontrolsonline.co.uk and we will do our best to assist you. Please note that we are unable to provide user manuals over the telephone.

How do I know if an item is in stock?

The stock status on each product page is linked to our stock control system and is therefore accurate. If an item is out of stock, it will be displayed as such. In the rare event that an item is marked as in stock but is found to be out of stock when we pick your order, we will contact you immediately.

Delivery

What are your delivery charges?

The delivery charge depends on the weight of your order. You can see the applicable delivery charge by adding your desired products to your basket.

How long will my delivery take?

We aim for really fast deliveries. Our Express delivery service is next working day to most UK locations.  While we cannot offer a specific delivery time, deliveries are typically made between 8 am and 6 pm. For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, and Northern Ireland, please allow an extra working day.

Which courier do you use?

We use Royal Mail, UPS and DHL for our deliveries. For lightweight orders, we try to use Royal Mail for your convenience. Some items may be dispatched directly from the manufacturer via courier. At this time, we are unable to offer customers a choice of carrier.

What happens if I'm not home to sign for my delivery?

If no one is available to sign for your delivery, a card will be left with a telephone number to arrange a more suitable delivery day. Alternatively, you can collect your delivery from the local depot, the address of which will be on the card. If no contact is made within 7 days, the delivery will be returned to us.

Do you deliver to the Channel Islands and other non-UK locations?

Yes, for a delivery quote, please see your cart. VAT will be automatically deducted during the checkout process. Please be aware that some orders may be subject to import duty, and it is the customer's responsibility to pay this.

Returns & Warranty

What is your returns policy for non-faulty items?

You can return any non-faulty item within 20 days of the invoice date for a refund. The item must be unused, in a resalable condition, and in its original, intact packaging. Please enclose a copy of your invoice with the return. Delivery charges will not be refunded, and you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item(s). We recommend using a traceable and insured delivery method.

What if I receive a faulty item?

In the unlikely event that your item arrives faulty or develops a fault under the manufacturer's warranty, please complete our online returns form. If the item is deemed faulty, we will arrange for a replacement to be sent to you as soon as possible. Our liability for a faulty return is strictly limited to a replacement product only.

How long is the warranty on your products?

All items we sell come with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase.

Product-Specific Questions

What is the difference between a programmer and a thermostat?

A programmer or timeswitch allows you to set specific times for your heating to turn on and off. A thermostat, on the other hand, reads the temperature of the room and turns the heating on and off to maintain the desired temperature you have set.

What are smart heating controls?

Smart heating controls, such as internet thermostats, allow you to control your heating remotely via a smartphone, tablet, or computer. They can offer greater control and potential energy savings by learning your habits and allowing you to adjust your heating from anywhere.

Do you sell controls for different types of boilers?

Yes, we stock a comprehensive range of programmers, timeswitches, and thermostats for various boiler and heating systems, including single-channel, twin-channel, digital, and mechanical programmers from leading brands.
