Q: hello we have had a new boiler fitted in the garage with its own thermostat set at 5c we have on the wall of the garage a Honeywell thermostat also set at 5c. Our plumber has fitted a Honeywell pipe thermostat to the return pipe of the boiler should this be set at the same temperature as the others or different. Kind regards clive

A: Hi. Normally the pipe thermostat is set to 25c in this situation.
Q: On model L641B1012 (high limit), what is the approximate switching temperature if set to 'Min'?

A: The high limit model does not have a 'Min' setting, so the lowest is 50C.
Q: Can thermostat be fitted to pipe to switch a pump on at 50 degrees f and rising .Switch pump off below 50 degrees

A: Yes it can.
Q: The differential again This stat is to protect pipework, so on is when pipe temperature has fallen to say a setting of 10C, this means that off is when it has risen by a differential of 10C to 20C? Is this a correct interpretation Thanks

A: If set to 10C it will come on at approximately 0C and go off at approximately 10C.
Q: The spec says the differential is 10 C, what does that mean? Thanks

A: It is the difference between it switching off and switching on.
Q: is this thermostat suitable for turning a central heating pump on when temp increases above say 50 degrees and off when it drops below?

A: Yes it would.
Q: Which model is make on temp rise. (m.o.r), say 60deg.

A: Both units have change over contacts: Terminals C and 2 make on temperature rise. Terminals C and 1 make on temperature fall.
