  • Yes, this would be suitable.


  • The immersion heater has two thermostats (integrated into one TSE or TSR unit) in it that will stop it from overheating.  One to control the temperature as normal and a safety one that will switch off should the temperature approach an unsafe level (i.e. if the first fails on the on position).  The second thermostat requires manual resetting to alert the homeowner of the failure.

    As a result there is no need to worry about it over heating.
  • HCO code 17B16 would be suitable.
  • The HT includes a high temperature thermostat. If it is in a normal hot water cylinder this one will be fine.

  • Yes it is 1.75" BSP thread It has a TSE thermostat There are different versions of the Megaflo Eco Plus 500 which take different immersions. Please email us a photo of the existing immersion heater and cylinder label.
