Q: I am not a heating enegineer, but do have engineering back. Would I able to delirectly replace the failed HSA3 actuator with with same type. After replacing, do i need to do any other part of maintenace procedure.
A: No. It's a simple swap.
Q: Does this replace the sd2701 as it also mentions the 1701, also how many wires does it have.
A: Yes it will. You will need to use the Sunvic screws rather than the included Danfoss screws. It has 4 wires.
Q: I have been using the sunvic sd2701 until lately, but they have a high failure rate. You say the hsa3 fits the existing valve body?
But the thread on the hsa3 is totally different, is there screw that allows me to use this actuator?
Regards, Fred FYFE
A: You will need to use the screw that comes with the valve body.
If you don't have this screw, you can use cable ties.
