The new H3747 is a receiver / PTD unit (for managing up to 4 channels) which can control combi or system boilers. Out of the box it is wireless enabled and can be operated by an app. With the optional Wi-Fi adapter, it can fully control your heating system outside of the home via the app.

Ideal for replacing traditional wired controls for systems that require separate control of heating and hot water or multiple heating zones. It is compatible with standard 9-pin backplate offered with our popular ChannelPlus, the H3747 can easily replace the H37XL or H47XL with only minimum wiring changes.

It includes a load compensation algorithm that significantly improves boiler efficiency by preventing short-cycling and overshooting of temperature when used with programmable thermostat display (PTD). Load compensation has been shown to save energy compared to traditional systems, while maintaining more consistent comfort levels.

Application:

  • Easy replacement of timers/programmers
  • Combi boiler – central heating, 4-zone system
  • Central heating and hot water control

    • If you are using the PTD internal sensor or the optional remote sensor on that zone, then you control temperature, so set a lower temperature.

If you set that zone up as having a wired thermostat, then it is just on/off control.

Yes, you can boost the zone for 1 or 2 hours if required.

    • As long as the off terminals on the 852s are not being used, then yes you can.  You can set them up with wired thermostats, so the H3747 will work as a timer only.

3rd party integration is not currently possible, but is being worked on.

    • Yes, you can replace it with the H3747.  If you want to control room thermostat temperatures as well as times, you will need an extra THS sensor.  If you want to control it with your phone outside of bluetooth range, then you will need the WiFi card.

    • You can either:
      1) Install a second PTD.
      2) Install a wireless THD.
      or
      3) Keep your existing HRT4-B.

You will be able to control temperature in that zone via your phone with option 1 or 2.  With option 3 you will only be able to control on/off on your phone and the temperature will need to be set manually on the HRT4-B.

    • You will need to replace the backplate, but it will connect to the existing wires.
