The new H3747 is a receiver / PTD unit (for managing up to 4 channels) which can control combi or system boilers. Out of the box it is wireless enabled and can be operated by an app. With the optional Wi-Fi adapter, it can fully control your heating system outside of the home via the app.

Ideal for replacing traditional wired controls for systems that require separate control of heating and hot water or multiple heating zones. It is compatible with standard 9-pin backplate offered with our popular ChannelPlus, the H3747 can easily replace the H37XL or H47XL with only minimum wiring changes.

It includes a load compensation algorithm that significantly improves boiler efficiency by preventing short-cycling and overshooting of temperature when used with programmable thermostat display (PTD). Load compensation has been shown to save energy compared to traditional systems, while maintaining more consistent comfort levels.

I understand that the output at terminal 1 gets its input voltage from terminal 2 and that a voltage applied to terminal 4 supplies the output at terminal 3 but where do the outputs at terminals 5 and 6 get their input voltages from? In other words, how are CH3 and CH4 powered? Answers1

Terminals 1 and 3 comes from terminal 2.
Terminals 5 and 5 comes from terminal 4.

Can I use one PTD to programme multiple zones? I`ll have 2 heating zones and one HW recirculation pump. Answers1

I have a H47XL currently for 3 heating zones and a water heater. i have three wired thermostats around the house. will the PTD supplied with this purchase replace one of these stats. is it best to keep the PTD close to the 4 channel programmer. Answers1

You can either keep all the room stats, or have the PTD as the thermostat in one of the zones.

Range is good, but it is best installed in the nearest zone to the receiver.

Yes it will. You just need to swap terminals 4 and 5 on the backplate

Yes, you can use one of these and a C1727. Then all 5 zones will be in one app.

Assuming it is a standard system where terminals 2, 4 and 6 are empty. Then you just need to place a link wire between Live, 2 and 4.

It will fit the existing backplate with just a few wiring changes. It will work with your existing thermostats, just set the zone as "wired" thermostat.

Recently purchased H3747 used on S plan system, zone 1 heating & zone 3 Hot Water, can i simply disconnect the wired room stat from the heating zone 1 and use the wireless PTD ?. Answers1

You will need to connect the live-in and live-out once you remove the thermostat, but other wise yes.

If the PTD defaults to Zone 1, is it possible to move the wired thermostat from Zone 1 to Zone 4 and have nothing on Zone 1? Answers1

The thermostat inside the PTD is optional. So all zones can have wired thermostats, and the H3747 will only control on/off.
