Would this head fit a Honeywell 3 port diverter valve (that has a 3 wire motorised head) to convert it to a mid position valve if I wired it as such?
Yes it would.
My existing 3-port valve has Honeywell ref F5-0043 (early 2000's?)- is this powerhead a compatible replacement for the exisiting? Many thanks, Peter
F5-0043 is the date code (made in 2000). If it is 3-port, with a metal case, and 5-wire, then the 40003916-003 is the correct one.
HI I HAVE A 40003916-001/U REPLACEMENT HEAD BUT THE OLD HEAD IS A 40003916-003 ARE THEY COMPATABLE AS THERE IS A EXTRA WIRE?
No. The 001 head is for 2-port valves.
My present V4073A1039 has a humming sound, present all the time, in your experience is this a fault, if so I will be buying one of your replacements, 40003916003 5 wire units.
It sounds like it could be on it's way out.
Hi,is this the whole package meaning does the inside electrical part come with it?or is this just the case?many thanks matt
Yes all the electrical parts inside are included. The brass valve body that this fixes on top of is not included.
Why should I buy a Honeywell branded actuator when you have a compatible one considerably cheaper. Why I ask is that I am now onto my third replacement.
Some people do prefer the Honeywell branded one. If they are failing regularly, then I would recommend fitting a 40003918-007 repair kit as well as a magnetic filter (like a Magnaclean) and making sure you have enough inhibitor in your system.
Could you please tell me what the warranty period is on this item. Thanks
It is the longer of 18 months from date of manufacture, or 1 year from date of purchase.
Hi Manager, I did replace powerhead 40003916-003 yesterday. Now when I turn on for hot water central heating is also getting hot. Could you please advise. thanks. Jose
It could be a wiring issue or the valve body could be stuck.
